The first three Gatherings have been on the topic of Being+Doing, God as Father, and God's Family.
Here is one of the youth's thoughts about the conference so far...
"We've met a lot of people including some new friends from Brazil. We've learned a lot about their country. Also, this conference is bigger than I expected. The speakers have very good messages that are easy to apply to our lives."
I will try to collect more of the student's thoughts as the days go by and perhaps encourage you all as well. We've even gained a few more youth who are with the EFCA ReachGlobal. They are summer interns who have been joined our group for this week, some of which we will also be with next week!
Coming 2 days early really helped us to get our bearings in this extremely large convention center. Plus we already see many familiar faces as we frolic and prance around from room to room.
Please pray for the country of Brazil - Some names of our new friends are Lukas, Gabriella, Samuel, Leo, Bruna, Andrea and so many more. We even learned how to greet each other, "Oi! Como Vai." Be sure to also ask your to kids to SHOW you how too.
Also, please pray for our health to remain and good night's rest for each of us. We are still adjusting and dozing off more than we'd like. Perhaps the Holy Spirit can uniquely energize us somehow. Speaking of sleep, I ought to head to bed too. I will try to post more pictures at another time.
